Booking Guidance & House Rule Notes

You must be 25 Years old or older to book and occupy Sugarfoot Escape.  All single guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.  The booking guest must be present onsite for the stay; that means it is not acceptable to book for your children and their friends and not be there.  

No refund will be available for violations of this age occupancy agreement and immediate departure will be required.

Lodging Taxes will be in addition to any rates estimated or quoted.  

At the end of your stay, we will have our expert, highly sought after cleaning partner waiting at 10AM to prepare SFE for our next guests.   

Please plan for the 10AM check out!  Cleaning fee for a typical family who tidies up after themselves throughout the week is $180.  

Booking instructions:  

$500 refundable Security Deposit in the form of a Credit Card Hold

50% of the rental fee is due at the time of reservation.  The remaining balance is due 45 days before arrival. 

You will also see a Resort Fee of $45 on the Invoice total to cover a per booking fee.

Payments: 

Visa, AMEX, MasterCard & Discover will be accepted. 

Cancellation & Refund Policy 

Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund of any prepaid rental payments and taxes less $250.  

Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund of the booking total less $250. 

Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival, no refund is available.

At the time of booking, travel insurance will be offered in a follow up e-mail.  This is highly advised if you believe there may be a reason you may need to cancel or if you are concerned about storms disrupting your stay during Hurricane season.

Cancellations or refunds due to weather will be made only if the city authorities order evacuation and applies for the days declared by city authorities.  If this is a concern, please purchase Trip Insurance separately which will be offered via email after booking.

Damages

The guest agrees if there is any damage to the unit which costs more than the paid damage deposit, the guest is responsible to pay the difference.  Intentional damage or theft will be prosecuted.

We have both no pet and no smoking policies.

25 year Old Minimum age to rent and receive access which is also subject to verification.  Single guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.

Smoking in the unit and evidence of pets will forfeit the refundable deposit.

Any Summer House HOA fines will be in addition to the deposit and be the guest's responsibility.

Sugarfoot Escape has an 8 person maximum both for sleeping and being on premises. 

Summer House is a community and expects all guests to respect others which includes adhering to quiet hours at night and respecting the hours of the amenities.

Please adhere to all the housekeeping guidelines or an additional cleaning fee will be applied.

If you found us on one of the multiple vacation rental booking sites and completed a booking  through that site, please do not request to cancel that reservation and work with us directly for the same reservation with the intention of bypassing their fees that were previously agreed.  The channel partners are quite good at tracking this and will most likely send a bill for their fees.
